I think “40 HR/ 3 Hr Days” is supposed to suggest he’s offering $40 an hour and wants three hours of work per day. Which should be just enough time to lure a naive new employee into his soundproof hidden room.

I applied to a job like this once when I was 16 and dumb…. it ended up being a job to sell roses on the streets of LA. I left… Funny thing is that when I tried to walk out the owner of this “business” actually tried to argue with me about how good of an opportunity this was that I was walking away from. POS person if you ask me.

This just reminds me of people looking for their Juliet or Romeo… you’re looking for the person that will make you overreact and elope and then murder their cousin and then kill yourself unnecessarily OR the person that will make you overreact and elope and get mad that he murdered your cousin and then pretend to kill yourself and then actually kill yourself.

I remember this ad! Bitter time for me, let me tell ya. Spent my unemployed days desperately looking at postings like this. The ‘rock star’ thing was super stupid. I’m not a rock star, I don’t want to be a rock star. No, I don’t get sexually excited about design. No, I don’t think it’s reasonable to sacrifice my obligations to friends and family to work UNPAID overtime. No I don’t want to work at a company that so desperately wants to come across as a group of twenty-something men with purple streaks in their hair who sit around telling jokes they got off the office.
But I needed a job.
Also, web designer ≠ web developer. (Great if you can do both but they’re not the same thing.)
